Mana’s Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Oreos ~ A Family Tradition & Recipe

My friend Lindsay recently moved into a charming neighborhood lined with large trees and {for the most part} friendly neighbors. She is intentional at heart and asked, What do you do for your neighbors at Christmas?

I smiled because she knows I’m a little crazy about creating traditions- I live for embracing everyday moments and transforming them into family memories year after year. Especially when it comes to Christmas.

Belly-button Business

A little secret- I have an indie bellybutton.

It sorta does it’s own things, has it’s own vibe. One day it’s poking out, the next day’s it’s hiding. It’s a bit of a free bird, an artsy belly button if you will.

Things settle and shift and drop differently after one child, then two. My bellybutton is evidence of what used to behave and now has a mind of it’s own. You get the point.

And Now for Dessert!

All this peanut butter and chocolate talk got me hungry, so the other night after our date, as all fabulous dates should end, dessert beckoned and we wound up at the store. Into the cart jumped these decadent essentials, and back home, I let our oldest stay up late for a special post-date dessert-making sesh.

You’re in for a treat. This peanut butter dessert is easy peasy and even more fun to make with a cute assistant dessert helper at your side 🙂
